hmm... is it stupid to get upset when someone won't allow you to try to help them?

and why is it that when you finally get around to feeling like sleeping, finally manage to suppress or push aside the stresses of the day, certain people decide to call you, of all people, to ramble on about nothing in particular with no discernible point, somehow making you feel like they're blaming you and thanking you at the same time, but altogether stressing you out or bothering you so you don't feel like sleeping anymore?

strange...

i feel so strange.  suddenly so devoid of ... happiness?  is that the right way to describe how i feel?  i feel so weird.  it's hard to put into words how i feel now.  why should i be unhappy?  am i really unhappy?  no not really.  but yes kind of.  a little sad.  a little frustrated.  very tired.

goodnight.

i bought a bunch of books recently, including one that states the truth concerning many myths and misconceptions, etc.  i know it's not the typical book that most ppl would think of buying, but it really stood out to me.

random fact #1: regarding bald eagles, and how they aren't really bald.  (i didn't realize ppl actually thought bald eagles were really bald!)  why are they named "bald eagles" even when they aren't really bald?  bc the feathers on their heads are white, making the eagles look bald.  haha

random fact #2: regarding cats drinking milk.  many ppl still think that cats should drink milk, but the truth is that although they may like milk, many cats are lactose-intolerant, resulting in digestive problems (even diarrhea) after drinking milk, which in effect drains the body of nutrients...  so milk can actually be hazardous to a cat's health!

random fact #3: regarding the name "bloodhounds".  why are bloodhounds called bloodhounds?  contrary to popular belief, they are no better at sniffing the scent of human blood than other dogs... they were called "blood" hounds bc they were the first to have their breeding (or blood) records maintained.

random fact #4: this is one that i am very familiar with but just bc i like koala bears i will post this one, in case you didn't know already... koala bears are not related to bears at all, they are actually marsupials (complete with pouches, just like kangaroos, opossums, sugar gliders, etc.)

random fact #5: did you know that green tea, black (red) tea, along with oolong tea and white tea (i don't know what white tea is, haha) are all made from the same plant?  it's a plant called "Camellia sinensis" (small-leafed) or "Camellia assamica" (large-leafed.)

haha interesting?  hmm maybe i'm just a dork, but i find this stuff quite interesting.  i was originally just going to share some animal facts but i saw the tea thing and figured nowadays there are a lot of tea connoisseurs, not only in Asia and Europe but even in the US.  well, that's all the time i have for now, until next time...

hmm... i have encountered an interesting question lately... i guess one of those eternal questions that ppl will always come across, regardless of era, culture, occupation, etc.  have you ever wondered... what is the meaning of life?  i mean truly ponder what you or i or she or he or all of us are here for?  i know everyone has their own theory or thoughts or 'wishful thinking'... i have my own, too.  many ppl say life is about achievements, successes... many say life is about love or happiness.  but what really is the reason, the purpose, the meaning of this life that we are given?

interesting animal-related news that is supposedly true..!

.... a zoo in alaska recently announced it will build a special treadmill for its overweight elephant to exercise on...

.... surveillance cameras at an animal shelter (in london) revealed that one dog was using his teeth to unlock his cage and those of his "pals" so they could roam the premises night after night...
